SIBA CHILDREN AND VULNERABLE ADULTS PROTECTION OFFICER
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a person to take a lead on child protection for the sport of Indoor Bowling in Scotland.
Although not specifically an Executive Committee member the Children and Vulnerable Adults Protection Officer will report to the Executive Committee through the SIBA Secretariat. With this in mind we would welcome someone with the ability to build relationships, an interest in the well-being of children and vulnerable adults and a willingness to challenge opinion and to drive the child protection agenda.
Roles and responsibilities of the position include: leading and implementing child protection and procedures for Indoor Bowling in Scotland; encouraging good practice and raising awareness with appropriate parties; responding to concerns; liaising with statutory agencies; and supporting affiliated clubs.
This is a voluntary position which requires a certain level of commitment and periodic meetings with appropriate members of the Scottish Indoor Bowling Association team.
